UPON looking over the plan of this compact little dwelling, it occurs to us that
possibly some people might like the general idea of the house and yet not find
it convenient to go into the simple life to such an extent as to have the dining
roomand kitchen in one, as suggested here. Personally we like very much the homely
comfort and good cheer which belongs to the big, old-fashioned kitchen which
is exquisitely kept and which has in it room for the dining table. But in order
