Mission furniture, Craftsman Style Furniture,
Stickley Furniture were all popular during the Craftsman period. We
have always had a weakness for wood and wooded items and have collected
and explored extensively in this area.
I have several of The Furniture Doctor books by George Grotz and
am going to have to review and study them. We have ashed
full of dip stripped oak furniture pieces bought in the midwest
many years ago. The stripper dissolved the glue holding the
joints so there are just a lot of chair pieces.
I have registered several other wood related domains and am slowly, very
slowly, loading them with text and pictures. They include:
Treenware: Old wooden kitchen utinsels
Turned on Wood: The turned wood marketplace and resource
Wood for Carving: The wood carvers resource with market news and
products for wood carvers
Oak Company: Someday I will want to sell oak wood or oak furniture and
this may be the place to do it
Don't laugh, I have good intentions.
